Wow! Love this blog and the one about stay at home mom’s! You’re an amazing writer-you should give inspirational talks at schools!
I myself have always been career-driven somehow. I’ve never been married (almost once). And I was a nanny for 15 years. Absolutely loved nannying!
I’m definitely ready for marriage and kids… I wonder why the stars are not aligning for me… I feel like I have more emotional courage than most…
But I’ve been through a lot… Lots of road blocks… I’ve proven to myself that I can pretty much do anything I put my mind to…I’ve learned a resilience that you can only learn from experience…
I love that you share your wisdom… I really feel the feminist movement killed relationships between men and women. As far as gender roles I think it’s funny that we fight what feels natural… Most women are meant to bare children and raise them biologically. And if they don’t have that gene or they do want to pursue a career, they hire a nanny (enter me). Nannying is what I did to support myself during my first career as a classical musician. So rewarding…it’s what motivated me to become a nurse.
Either way, it’s about how we bring children into the world and raise them that counts… And it does take a village to raise a child.
People say they are not ready for marriage…but you’re right: it’s not about readiness, it’s about maturity… And somewhere down the generations, we’ve lost values. And it’s a cycle…where do broken childhoods come from? A mother who couldn’t be there for her children because she was trying to feed them taking on a career… Men (and women) who don’t respect and understand a mother’s role… Men who were not raised to respect women.. Women who were not raised to respect themselves…
Someday I’d like to be a stay at home mom… But society today doesn’t accept it… And so I meet man after man who expects me to offer to pay for myself…(which I can of course do)… or is not emotionally ready…
In reality being a stay at home mom is a great “job”…a 24/7 job (as I experienced part-time as a nanny)… It’s exhausting and amazing; it’s rewarding…joyful, painful… But when you give yourself to raising little ones, you know you’re shaping the future! And that’s what it should be all about! Americans are so driven on being “busy and successful” but what the world needs more of is kindness, compassion…redefining values… People don’t seem to have time to nurture themselves or each other. A working mother puts pressure on herself to do two “jobs” successfully… Be a mother and earn money to feed everyone. It can be taxing, not having time for yourself or your children… It’s just not natural! It’s where the cycle starts…a kid doesn’t have enough time to be nurtured. A mother doesn’t have time to take care of herself. Don’t we all need time for ourselves and each other? America has invested in a materialistic world and not enough TIME for what’s important.
Rape and domestic violence also stem from lack of values… Somewhere we lost the ability to teach our children values. We now live in an entitled world… Teachers who don’t get paid enough are basically expected to raise other people’s children… And probably because they don’t have enough time to because they’re busy trying to be successful!
Our consumer-driven society will be the end of itself. And instead of having time for imagination and creativity… We will only have time for a droll day-to-day numbness that can only be likened I that of a zombie-state (just as you said)…no wonder they are popular these days!
Why is the world filled with such pain and hurt? From unwanted girls/babies to gun violence… We have lost the capacity to love and accept each other… Basic human kindness… I move to change the world by being the change you wish to see in the world (Ghandi):). Here is to a better future if we can get the message out there that people (and the world) need to basically learn to love better. Be there for each other better. That is what we are here on earth for. Not for ourselves… For each other. No person is an island. The world needs lots of healing right now. Thank you for sharing. And if you have time, thank you for listening/reading.
Thank you for publicly sharing your thoughts. Lots of wisdom in there. You are close to the truth, close to Jesus.
“Close to Jesus”?!? More like “Close to BLASPHEMY”!!
Jennifer, you are a beautiful person, and very intellectual, not to mention intelligent. The Lord knows what He needs you for, so just stay awake. You will be fulfilled, maybe not the way you think you should be or would like, but you will be fulfilled.
My word, Jennifer, you are so very insightful (wise?). Makes me wonder how old you are to have had all the experiences you mentioned. Thank you for sharing all that. I just wish more women who give birth and men who procreate would be wise enough to be Mothers and Fathers to the children they bring into this world! Sounds like you have been a good influence on someone else’s children and it sounds as though you’d be an excellent Mother to your own children! In addition to the drive to be successful in careers and monetary terms, now young men and women are allowing computer games and FaceBook time to rob their children of their time and attention. I can only pray that something wakes them up before their children become tragic stories on the late night news!
Have you considered the possibility that the men you’ve been seeing just aren’t interested in you? If you spend any time whining about how hard it is to not be a social failure in the big bag modern world, I sure as hell wouldn’t.
I really appreciate this post. I have been looking all over for this! Thank goodness I found it on Bing. You’ve made my day! Thanks again

Tim
Hey Matt,
I just read your huffpost article about not being ready for the big things. Just wanted to say how much I totally agree with you. I was in a long term engagement of about 8 Years and was never ready, or if I was she wasn’t, or we both weren’t, or we both were but it was too much effort to get married.
Then I met an amazing woman who lived on the other side of the world (i lived in Australia, she in California and we met in Vegas on vacation). We knew each other a year, but had spent a total of 11 days actually together when, celebrating my birthday in Vegas again 13 months and 8 days after we met there, we decided to get married.
Meeting this amazing woman made me realise that it wasn’t that I wasn’t ready for marriage, I wasn’t ready to settle for somebody that didn’t make me feel like getting married was of course the only real option I had available to me to truly express how I felt about that person.
18 months later (tomorrow in fact), I look back on that snap decision as the best I ever made.I wasn’t “ready”. I had debt, was renting, had to work out who would move to which country, how I was going to be an amazing dad to my new 3 year old step daughter and how I was going to live with somebody I’d only ever shared hotel rooms with and my family had never met.
Here we are all this time later and we’re happily living together in Australia, debt free, about to buy a house and my amazing, wonderful daughter starting 4 year old kinder. We’re about to start getting on with the business of the next challenge we’re not ready for, a second child.
Glad to read a similar story to mine and to totally back you up on every point. Like my dad always told me “bite off more than you can chew and chew like crazy”.
All the best,
Tim
Bravo, Tim! Best wishes for a happy life! I’m going to save your dad’s “bite and chew” advice! Sometimes we just need to jump in and learn to swim!
Matt, Matt, Matt,
The Ruling Class has deemed animal life sacrosanct, human life, bah, useless and tedious.
Get with the program. Michelle Bonaparte and Obama Bonaparte run things now. Good grief.
Stick your empty head in a (full) toilet and flush. Repeat—repeatedly. P.S. Remarks from the likes of you only make intelligent people laugh.
Matt I would love to repost your blog, if you are willing to us less language. The article is great!
Use less language? What does that even mean? Are you drunk? I am right now, and can apparently make more sense.
Matt Walsh does have guts to even broach the subject. I’ll give him that. His last statement is intentionally provocative. It makes us think. Is that true? He appears to want to discuss, firstly, Christians who use the “judge not” as a foil for unholy living as if the grace of God negates our responsibility to live holy lives as instructed in the Bible. Jesus said: I have not come to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it. He even expanded the O.T. Law to include even thinking unholy thoughts. Wow.
Proverbs 8:32 says: “The precepts of scripture are good and right and happy are those who keep my ways”. Even those outside the church are protected from harm IF they follow them. It will not save them, but there are natural laws that, when followed, keep us safe and thus happier. For example: Not having sex outside of marriage is one of God’s laws. Following this ‘rule’ saves a woman from emotional harm, physical exposure to STDs and STIs as well as consequences of that choice; an unplanned pregnancy and single motherhood. God meant for a woman to be protected inside a loving, monogamous marriage. Following this Law does not get her into heaven but it protects her from a lot of problems. Whether, Christian or not, the Law is good.
ICor8 speaks specifically to meat sacrificed to idols. I believe it is inconsistent with the whole counsel of scripture to apply this passage to ALL sin among believers. It speaks, specifically, to believers, who used to worship idols and are unable, because of conscience, to eat meat from the market, that they know was sacrificed first to those idols. Their past constrains their ability to look at the meat, as just meat. Another believer who does not have the same background, or who is farther along in his faith, can eat any meat put in front of him. The principle here could be applied in our time, to a brother who is a young Christian and a recovering alcoholic. It would not be ‘loving’ to meet him in a bar and drink in front of him or offer him a drink. Later, when his faith is stronger and he is released more from his addiction he may be able to bear the temptation, but out of love for your brother, you bear with him and make his way easier by not drinking around him now.
James 5:19-20 addresses the issue of sin within the church and also all of chapter 5 in I Corinthians speaks to the issue of sexual immorality within the church. We are told not to tolerate it. Verse 12 says: “What have I to do with judging those also who are outside? But those who are outside God judges.” What is done outside is still just as wrong when it is done by unbelievers, but it is in their nature to do it. Those within have the mind of Christ. Their body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It is a serious thing to walk in sin as a Christian.
I Cor. 2:4 says” But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God because they are foolishness to him… (v.15) but he who is spiritual judges all things, yet is rightly judged by no one… but we have the mind of Christ.” The Holy Spirit will work on our heart and not long allow us to continue in sin.
In speaking to a brother caught up in sin, Jude 1:22-23 says,” And on some have compassion making a distinction, but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire.” There must be a careful, relational approach to confronting sin, but it is not to be ignored.
James 5:9-20 says, “Bretheren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back, let him know that he that turns a sinner from the error of his ways will save a soul and cover over a multitude of sin.”
The redemption of a sinner IS truly a supernatural event. Sometimes it comes by a confrontation with our sin and its consequences and for others, a softer word is all that is needed. I love the word picture of George MacDonald in The Curate’s Awakening: “It is so true, as the Book says, that all things work together for our good, even our sins and vices. He takes our sins on himself, and while he drives them out of us with a whip of scorpions, He will yet make them work His good ends. He defeats our sins, makes them His prisoners, forces them into the service of good and chains them, like galley slaves to the rowing benches of the gospel ship. He makes them work toward salvation for us… It is the repentant heart that God is after, no matter what it takes. God strives to achieve it in all of us.”
We can watch unbelievers destroying themselves by their life choices and pray that God, in His mercy, will likewise use their sin to bring them to repentance. We love them, not by condoning their sin, but by loving them and encouraging their attention to the God who loves them and can redeem them.
You have family and friends that choose lifestyles that embrace sin.. To not pray for them to be released from those lifestyles, whether they be homosexuals, partners living together or whatever, is to say that God’s Law is not TRUE and loving for ALL people. God’s Law is not a set of rules meant to constrain us, tell us what to do and deny us ‘fun’ and happiness. The more we absorb the consequences of our sin in our lives, the more God shows us that His Law IS perfect and PROTECTIVE. He knows pain will follow our poor choices and dearly wants to spare us harm. But, by continuing to live as we want, we open ourselves to a world of problems, pain and hurt.
But, God wants to be gracious and save! He knew it would be impossible for us to follow His perfect law and that death would be the result. So, he made a way for us to be forgiven and our sins to be paid for. Not ignored. Not condoned. PAID for. Jesus’ death paid the penalty for all our sins. But, admitting that they are sins is a necessary first step. The more society ‘okays’ our depravity, the more lost we are and the harder it is to see our need. We think that nothing is wrong with how we live. It is Satan’s smoke screen. To accept God’s gift, He has to open our eyes to see the truth of our sin, so that we can say “Yes! I need you, Jesus”, accept the gift of His death in our place and be born again. Then begins a process of ‘sanctification’, where we go and sin no more.- Not out of a desire to advance our footsteps to heavan, but to become like Christ, whom we love and respect as the one who knows what is best for us and desires for us to have life abundantly. Excused sin within the body or unrepentant sin, is not to be tolerated or excused, but confessed and covered with the blood of Jesus. The body works together to bring all parts into a sanctified whole, holy and acceptable to God. That is our reasonable service. (ICor. 12:1,2.)
### Back to the blog, what society wants us to do, is accept sin as good., To make laws that protect it and replace truth with a lie. As Christians and citizens, we are compelled to speak to this intrusion into our personal faith before we are compelled to obey laws that require us to disobey our Lord. I see that as the reason Christians need to speak now about these issues.
Dee Kruse, you have such a grasp of God’s Word! I would love to be able to converse with you. I appreciate everything you’ve said here! Thank you for having the courage to say it!
Then again, most of us are literate enough to read the Bible without any help. But you’re brave enough to admit you can’t.
Isaiah 5:20
(20) Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
As for me, I say:
2 Peter 3:13
(13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
God is allowing Satan (the ruler of the earth) to blind the minds of them which believe not (2 Corinthians 4:4).
I pray for the quick return of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 12:10
(10) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
2 Timothy 4:1
(1) I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
Matt has guts….what a joke. Matt has privilege, and doesn’t recognize it.
Dear Matt,
I admire your courage and strength to proclaim that which your mind, heart and soul deem to be true. I sincerely wish you all the best. Take great care and God bless you in every way.
your blog is fucking annoying! quit spamming my inbox with fucking emails every other second!!!
Your language is repulsive, cayrodesignworks, and I can only come to the conclusion you are an idiot.
agree
But Matt, the IDENTICAL words apply equally to you–and you ARE fucking annoying!!!
More repulsive than the male supremacist language Matt spews? So sorry for the abuse you must have suffered to get where you buy into this crap.
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cayro, it’s really quite simple and painless to unsubscribe to the emails. You only need half a brain, do you have what it takes?
Abusive asshole.
quit spamming my inbox every other second!! this shit is annoying the hell out of me. You are creating bogus numbers.
You do know you can unsubscribe, right?
Cayro, I don’t believe in the theory of evolution, but you are making me wonder if there maybe is such a thing as half ape, half human.
LOL!!!
Wooooow…..these folks are seriously abusive. What the hell is wrong with you all?
And how is your hero NOT abusive?
Once again your posts are spot on. The last 2 especially, Schools teaching sex ed to 4th graders and Ray Rice. Thanks and I wish you continued success with this blog!
spot on to….idiots, lol…..
Hi Matt I wonder if you can share some insights about raising a boy to be a strong man. I am a single mom but even before our divorce his dad didn’t spend a lot of time with the kids. I have always worked hard with him in academics because that is my strength
But I see that he is not at all self motivated. He is a great kid. He’s brilliant, artistic, innocent, and kind. On the other end he also lacks focus has no sense of time. He has no sense of people, and often competes and argues even picks on his middle sister while he showers love on the youngest one. Eating healthy and getting his work done is always a chore and I often get extremely frustrated with him. I don’t want to break his spirit. I do not want him to feel disrespected at the same time I want him to learn to be respectful to others. How can teach this to him how can I make him feel like a little man.
Read “A Family of Value,” by J. Rosemond. It will help you focus on what he needs, not how he feels. Great book. Changed my approach to parenting and we have a less stressed home now. Our 3 kids really responded!
I truly loved the article on respect toward men. It may have been the best article, I have ever read on the subject, mainly because its probably been the only one ever written….lol You are a true wordsmith Mr. Walsh.
Oh, poor men. What a joke, lol.
Mr. Walsh, your article in regard to the respectful treatment of men in our culture is long over due.
In my opinion this is the result of the continuing errosion of the lack of self respect and therefore a lack of respect for those around us. There seems to be an epidemic of arrogance and self interest to the exclusion of common courtesy. Maybe instead of sex ed in schools we should return to teaching etiquette and good manners. Then follow up with money management and the art of face to face conversation.
Another great blog. I guess if this is the way we roll from now on, everyone should be required to give Jehovah Witnesses as much time as they need to tell their story.
Thanks for your work.
How do I get an email to get your blog posts?
by buying into this garbage, lol
Matt,
As a mother of four children, three daughters and a son. – WE NEED YOU! As a conservative , Christian with family values………we are getting ridiculed and overrun in in today’s society……..we need a voice!!!
Thank you for stating so perfectly the things I believe and only wish I could portray so eloquently. Don’t ever stop!!
Momma Ensign
No….are you joking?
I wanted to respond to your email about the pro-abortion argument shared on life news. I think another vital point is that our bodies are not our own. You can’t go into a public place, a doctors office or be a nursing home patient and commit suicide. If you mention to any health care professional that you will kill yourself you will be sent to a facility not by your own choosing so no, you can’t kill yourself knowingly to professionals but you can kill another
A zygote, moron, is light years different from a HUMAN BEING. Not that I expect you to grasp the distinction–you lack the brains for that,
Thank you Matt for your post on abortion. You ripped apart Rachel’s argument and have given me a great platform to argue against the “bodily autonomy” argument when it comes to abortion. excellently argued and written and it’s always a JOY to find people who think/write with such love, respect and preservation for human life, especially those who are unborn.
And once they ARE born, we can starve them, abuse them, neglect them, murder them…….you ppl are not sane.
Loved your blog. You are spot on! Now, can you right something about young adults, ages 18 – 45, who do not respect their parents? I run every time my kids have an issue! All they need to is pick up the phone and ask. However, when I pick up that phone to just say “Hello”, I get…. “What do you want? I’m busy.” Very seldom do I get a “Hello, mom. So nice of you to call.” It hurts and I am finding out I am not the only parent who feels like this. Something is wrong, when your kids do not respect you!. I would have never talked to my mom the way my kids talk to me. How do we change this? Where did I go wrong?
Virginia, I sure hope you get a response to your question! I have the same concern! Maybe you partially answered your own question, saying “I run every time my kids have an issue!” I’ve done the same and it seems the more I’ve done it, the less its appreciated and I get the same rudeness you mentioned. This probably started when our children were still at home; maybe we didn’t let them figure out things for themselves?
First, Virginia, this is not new–it may be a little worse than before, but it is not new. If it is worse, and it probably is, then we can attribute the reason to the libs/lefties/homosexualists/feminists/perverts who are dedicated to destroying the family as it has been for these thousands of years so that they can be immoral 24 hours a day, everywhere.
PRAYER IS THE ANSWER! We beg our Holy God to help us overcome satan and his lib/lefty/homosexualist/feminist/pervert lackeys. We will win, do not doubt–it may be Judgment Day but if that is what He wants for us, that´s fine, there is a Purpose.
Then again…when was the last time you folks treated your kids with even a modicum of respect? NEVER. You never taught your kids anything about mutual respect. Morons. And unless you are yourselves gay parents, what in the world have libs/lefties,homosexualists (misspelled!), feminists/perverts etc etc etc YAWWWWWN got to do with any of this–unless you YOURSELVES are “libs/lefties/homosexualistssp) etc etc etc??? See, wild spewings like that make normal people wonder about you…..
Keep it up Matt!! Your a great man
Yeah–just like Hitler!
Matt: maybe u should keep ur mouth shut because u are an undereducated piece of crap that knows nothing about Pitbulls… U weren’t there either in the situation of the 4 yo so maybe u shouldn’t comment either… Ppl kill ppl over parking spots, over money, over a sick joke but we don’t kill them, they just get a slap in the hand as we pay for them to get hot meals, a bed to sleep on and so on so Where’s ur logic there since u know so much…
I seriously doubt that we agree about everything, but I haven’t yet disagreed with you on anything that you’ve written on the blog posts that I’ve read. It is WONDERFULLY refreshing to hear my thoughts posted up so eloquently and persuasively. Thank you so much! Just…thank you. Keep up the good work!
JMJ
I agree, Renae! God bless you, Renae and Matt, both, and thank you, both.
Haha. ass clown.
You’re a sick, ignorant pig, wallowing in male supremacy, and don’t care who knows it! You keep on preachin’, and fighting the good fight, my fellow backwoods philosopher. 🙂
I see your work once in a while through fb and always enjoy your “libertarian” standpoint, yet it’s just talk as are many other even more conservative (and in my opinion biased) writers/speakers.
How do we with the same opinions make some real changes? It seems as if traditional modes of reaction will do nothing, especially with such a lazy population in the 18-35 age group.
PS I’ve been waiting to call out agreement with and following of the ACA or SB-191 in education pure and real-life enactments of DOUBLETHINK! (Really, how can anyone possibly agree with them?!? There must be separate agendas, like the complete and utter fall into a totalitarian autocracy, in which policy makers can hold two contradictory beliefs and truly believe the worse will be for the better.)
Ignorant, selfish sack of crap……I pray for the uneducated people who buy into your garbage.
Who exactly are you praying to?
I check this site out to see what morons are reading…..education. I don’t think there’s a way to communicate to you that that’s a good thing. “Proud uneducated” douche. Lol.
Hey! I was just linked to your blog, and I must say sir, I quite enjoy your style and thought processes. Thanks for putting them out there for the world to read – keep up the good work!
Also it is worth noting that the twitter link on your contact page directs to a mobile site. I was unsure as to the intentionality of that, so I thought it bore a mention.
So I came here to check this out because one of my nieces often links to your posts; I was curious. After looking around a bit I think that I can say that I feel a little out of place, given that I seem to represent everything wrong with society according to many of your followers. I am a divorced woman (nearly 20 years married), with a PhD, a successful career, self-supporting in a very fine fashion, who is dating without a goal of marriage. I was never a mother (by choice or by chance-it could have been either depending on the time). I was raised by a SAHM, who I can assure you, did not provide the happy existence that one thinks was naturally occurring for those born in the 50s and 60s; the “Wonder Years” existence wasn’t always the way it was. We went to church every Sunday, smiled for all of the pictures, and never talked about what went on at home. I was not the only one of my peer group who was in the same situation. We lived in a good neighborhood; we came from good, hard-working people and no one talked about what was happening.
My perspective has as much to do with life experience as anything else. Many of the individuals whom I see posting grew up in dual career families (some even raised by my peers) and were afforded every opportunity for education, dance classes, athletics, artistic endeavors–all those things that required a dual income–the same dual income that many of your readers now oppose. Life costs money; we grew up without a lot of things, in home situations that were abusive or neglectful and wanted to make sure that our children did not have the same fate.
And so I find myself among many others, in the same 45-55 age group, who are bewildered. I live in a new home, in an upscale housing development populated with SAHMs and working fathers. Please explain why I don’t deserve to live here…because that is the sentiment. I see entitlement that speaks to the fact that because I am not part of a couple, and I have no children, I don’t deserve to live in this neighborhood and I am immediately suspect. I just want a nice place to live and safety/security like these people want for their families. I’m not wrong; I’m just different.
I suppose that I find much of the intolerance for others to be a turn-off from what I have seen in your posts. Will I ever get married again? Who knows? Do I regret my choices? No, absolutely not. I did (and still do) the best that I can every single day. And coincidentally, each semester, I do my absolute best for your children, too. Life isn’t always about the choices one makes, it is often about the circumstances and situations that find their way to us and how we respond and react. Life is about attitude and living well each day, regardless of the chatter of others.
Best to y.
Good for you, Les. I wish you well. You sound like one of the few honest (and humble) people on this (wretched) site.
Who’s K23mt? It sounds like a very “brave and arrogant” individual who would cower from anyone on this blog if we were to see him/her face to face. Electronic communication allows for such hatefulness and false “courage” which would never be spewed outside of the internet. I’m curious as to why this individual frequents this blog. Why not stick to your own ungodly, hateful, atheistic, close-minded world? Is that too much to ask? Maybe the truth of this blog is getting under K23mt’s skin? Maybe I’m hitting too close to home? Oh, and in case K23mt would like to meet face to face, I’m at 12 Barton St. E. in Hamilton, Ontario (as for Reg).
Personally, I fail to understand his eloquent communication skills. K23mt, please post your own blog URL here so we can learn from your own enlightenment.
Because the likes of you, Craig, would be unable to understand it.
I quote Toran: “Electronic communication allows for such ‘hatefulness’ and ‘false’ “courage” which would never be spewed outside of the internet”. (Blah blah blah which I will disregard.) Hey Toran–if K23mt is hiding behind “electronic communication”–exacly what are YOU doing, my fearless foe???? ROFLMAO!!!!
Matt –
Not sure how I just found your blog this weekend, but I wanted to thank you for taking the time and braving the fire for expressing the opinions and frustrations that so many of us struggle to share. Most folks, like me, don’t have the courage to deal with the inevitable backlash of sharing opinions/truths so publicly.
I’m sure you get more than your fair share of nasty notes and comments (isn’t it funny how those who want to claim freedom of expression – i.e. my little pony backpack supporters – do their best to insult and destroy anyone who disagrees with what they think is correct).
So I wanted to give you a shout of thanks. Keep up the good fight!
EXCELLENT piece!! Amazing writer! One thing that “we” (co-workers and myself) didn’t like was the headline “I’m a Christian, and I think ‘Noah’ deserves a 4 star review”…from a marketing standpoint, had I not chosen to read the article (and I did because someone told me to be sure to read beyond the headline) I would have thought “Ok, he’s a Christian, and he thinks it’s 4-star, so I’m guess I’m off to see it!” We all “get” what you’re saying with the headline, but we think there’s tons of people like me who would read that in a hurry, then hurry off to see it!
P.S. You’ve convinced at least 4 people in the world NOT to see it, so your money spent seeing has now been made up.
Nice post about the new Noah movie! Funny and informative
Excellent review of this …… whatever it was !!!!!
Matt – Very refreshing and enjoyable reading. Clearly God has given you a gift. Ever consider writing books?
Craig, how far did you get in school–second grade if you were lucky? Sadly God has NOT given our guru a gift for writing (or anything else we can see). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NO BOOKS–enough trashy, horribly “written’ passing-for-books “books” out there already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love your blog. Have you written anything about the new Shield law being promoted and supported by both parties? I recently wrote an article about it! Check it out! http://Www.Thetrumpet.me
Great blog!!!!!
Did anyone else notice that Matt Walsh and anyone who enjoys his writing is functionally retarded? Just gonna throw that out there.
As a matter of fact, I had! Welcome to the literate club lol!
you homosexualists love to change the subject
the subject is the STERILITY of homosexuality and homosexuals–they can produce nothing
Matt is an excellent writer and many of the folks who enjoy his writing also do a very good job
but you would rather talk about anything other than the subject of Matt´s piece and the STERILITY of homosexuality and homosexuals
Dear Matt,
LOVE your use of the ENGLISH language! You get the point a crossed Very Beautifully. JUST LOVE IT!
Sabrit–with respect–how would you know? “Get the point a crossed Very Beautifully” is abysmal English, altho I realize English is NOT your first language. I suggest you take some serious courses in proper written and spoken English before posting here again. Then again, I offer the same advice to the people posting here whose native language (God help us all) presumably IS English!!! Because theirs isn’t much better!!
Sabrit, don´t pay any attention to what christine says about your English–your point came across very well
she and rack want to talk about anything other than Matt´s ideas and the total STERILITY of homosexuality and homosexuals
does your name have any relation to sabra?
Matt – It is refreshing to read someone who has the unashamed conviction to share beliefs and Christian viewpoints in a not-so-nice world. Your post about “Nice Christianity” reminds me of a recent Billy Graham special about the power of the cross. The cross is not nice; it calls out the evil and sin in us.
As Christians, we are called to love and serve one another. The secular world views most Christians as people who are ignorant and easy to be taken advantaged of. Being a loving person doesn’t make you week and believing in a Greater Love doesn’t make a person ignorant. The greatest love, in my opinion, is tough love. Tough love keeps us on that straight and narrow. “Get behind me Satan,” as Jesus told Peter is another example of not-nice Jesus.
I would like to nominate you for the “Very Inspiring Blogger Award.” There are five things to note:
(1) Display the award logo on your blog. (save it off my blog – I don’t know how to embed it in a comment)
(2) Link back to the person who nominated you.
(3) State 7 things about yourself.
(4) Nominate 5-7 other bloggers for this award and link to them.
(5) Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the award’s requirements. Congratulations and do continue to inspire! Bravo!
Hi Matt, I just got finished reading your blog “Maybe folks are mad because you are a liar” Loved it!!!! I wrote a comment on my facebook wall about your blog and how I feel as an American. I live in Virginia,,,,,,,and I would like some advice on how to start a rally for Impeaching this way out of control self serving bastard!!!!! Thank you…. Betty…..Here is what I had to say when sharing your above blog…..Why are we the American people putting up with this ” BLACK MAN ” who is obviously a LIAR!!!!!! He has caused confussion with our allies; He has put our country in a economic turmoil; He has bailed out only those who help his cause and so called “Career Stability” as president of the United States ( where we no longer stand UNITED as a people, nor are we looked upon as one of the WORLD LEADERS!!!!!) We are now vulnerable to more Terrorist Attacks!!!!! Obama Care is a JOKE……..and is unconstitutional!!!!!! Innocent lives have been taken by your instruction and then covered up by your instruction. Hundreds of thousands have lost not only thier health insurance plans, but have lost their FULL TIME JOBS due to Obama care, not to mention the hundreds of thousands who have lost their homes and cannot afford to feed their famlies 3 healthy meals a day, not to mention clothe their children……..You have made thousands have to depend of government assistance, just to survive……notice I did not say LIVE A QUALITY LIFE!!!!!! This is suppose to be the land of the FREE and the BRAVE….The statue of Liberty….The sign for all to see…..Is suppose to be a symbol for OPPORTUNITY???? I am very surprised that you have not instructed that it be taken down and replaced with a Statue of yourself!!!!!!!!!! You have stated more than once that you do not need the approval of Congress or the House to make an excutive decision…JUST YOUR TRUSTY PEN!!!!!!! SOON we will all be standing in line for toilet paper with your instruction as to how many rolls we can buy!!!!!!!! WHO WILL STAND BY ME TO GET AN IMPEACHMENT STARTED????? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!!!. I AM A REPUBLICAN AND PROUD OF IT!!!!!!!!
What a Blessing to see a website that is of one called to speak the word of God without the sugar coating just as Jesus our saviour spoke!!! Thank you Matt for heeding the call on your life………I truly enjoy your writings.Stay strong! God Bless You. Julia
