Thank You! has officially reached 5.5 million views for October. This is a million better than last month, and 5.4 million better than what it was doing just 4 months ago. Thanks, everyone.

There are so many smarter, wittier, more insightful writers out there, yet you choose to spend time reading my thoughts. I have no delusions of grandeur, nor do I think myself entitled to this sort of attention, so I am humbled and grateful. Even those of you who read my blog and then dutifully send me emails telling me to kill myself — I thank you, as well.

The success of this website has changed my life in a lot of ways. I’ve got some exciting things I want to do in the future. Stay tuned.

Congrats! I had to laugh that you even thanked those who tell you to kill yourself. Although, I do wonder why they keep reading your blog if it irritates them so much.

    • Jacquie says:

Ditto to all the above. I guess some people enjoy seething and you provide ample opportunity for them to do so with your sincere, articulate candor. Oh well for them. Congrats to you on having such a successful blog! 🙂

    • Eh, I guess some people just hate being wrong.

  2. Victoria says:

I just found your blog a few weeks ago and I’m glad I did. I will share with my friends and congrats!

  3. Congratulations to you! I admire your humbleness!

  4. What I read are words from a very level headed young man who loves his family enough to speak out against all the diabolical things of our time. Keep it up.

  5. Lynda says:

What I read are words from a very level headed young man who loves his family and has the courage to speak out against all of the crass, crooked and counterfeit things that are going on in our time.

  6. Crystal says:

Wow, only 4 months ago you were virtually unknown? What happened to get the train moving? You completely deserve it, by the way. Your writing is excellent (and I’m a freelance magazine writer, so hopefully you believe me).

  7. Lily says:

So excited for your success, Matt! I came across your blog when you were still flying under the radar and part of me wishes that was still the case because of all the haters {and people wanting you to off yourself – crazy!} invading the comment section. Glad you’re having a sense of humor through it all though! Congrats!

  8. Very happy for your well-deserved success, Matt! May God bless you in all your endeavors!

  9. Astounding! Congratulations, Matt. I enjoy reading your posts because you speak your mind freely, honestly and courageously. I do admire that.

  10. Sarah says:

People want and need to read what you write because you tell the truth and stand up for values that are quickly disappearing…you (and all the readers you have) give me reassurance that there are still so many of us that feel the same way.

  11. Kristen says:

Congrats Matt! God definitely has a plan for you 🙂

  12. Jody Maas says:

Stay real and grounded, young man. I am 70 years old and I find your perspective honest and refreshing in today’s world…that’s why I follow your blog.

  13. Caren MacMurchy says:

The fact that 10.10 million eyes view your sagacious words and 5.5 million minds digest, decipher and repeat your age-old wisdom is testimony of the hunger and thirst for righteousness across the fruited plains. Blessed be God. Hope springs Eternal. Carry on, my good man.

    • Well stated, Caren! I couldn’t agree more! I had never heard of Matt a few days ago, but I think that our world IS hungry for someone who will speak the TRUTH without apology!

  14. Dana McFarland says:

Congrats Matt! I love your blog, keep the truth coming!

  15. That’s awesome! I love reading your blog.

  16. Old AF Sarge says:

    Well done Matt.

(P.S. I use your alpaca grooming tips all the time. Great public service…)

  17. Terri Christian says:

So maybe there are a few million people who think like you (and I) do? There is hope after all!

  18. ronda815 says:

Ahhh.. I think I will say THANK YOU, MATT! You have the most wonderful way of putting things, for sure!

I believe that the people who are unhappy with you, are actually very frightened of you, because they are hellbent on believing what they do, and you make them second guess their own minds.
A very intelligent, articulate, logical, young , very cool, and perfectly sarcastic, conservative! To some, perhaps, a real nightmare!.

You have a lot to say, and it makes such great sense, that I can see how some that don’t think that they think the way that you do, may just get down right pissed at you, getting all in their heads like that! Ha! ,As always.. WELL DONE!

Keep it up! You are awesome, and I look forward to your blog everyday. I was laughing so hard that I was crying at your take on Les Misérables, Hilarious. Love your videos too.

So, for the light that you bring to me each day… THANK YOU!!

  19. vpfarming says:

Just started following. Very glad that I could be just one of the millions of visitors.

  20. GLA says:

Matt…you really have a knack for putting truth in to a way that all can understand. Keep up the good work.

  21. Dennis B. says:

    Congrats! Well deserved. God Bless.

  22. blueyedscrapper says:

I am one of your newer followers…and I truly enjoy reading your blog! Congrats!! And here’s to many more!

  23. Milly Thomas says:

Congratulations, Matt, that is no small feat! Best wishes for your future success. I like what you say, and the way you say it. Your mama should be proud…

  24. MBK says:

Congratulations, Matt! So glad to hear that so many people are being exposed to the truth that you put out there, regardless of what their reaction might be to it. The light can be blinding and uncomfortable at first after being in the dark for so long, but with time their eyes may become accustomed. Keep up the good, counter-cultural work, friend!

  25. Susan says:

    Congratulations, Matt!! Love your blog!

  26. thepcgoddess says:

Awesome! I love reading your blog. Keep up the good work.

  27. Anon says:

Hey, Maybe I could make some good money printing “Matt Walsh for President” bumper stickers! : )

  28. glenna says:

No, Matt, THANK YOU!! A friend posted one of your blog postings on his FB page, and I have been hooked ever since. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way you write, and I agree with your points of view. Keep up the good work; can’t wait to see what’s coming!

  29. Riley says:

You are so refreshing, thank YOU!

  30. Congrat, Matt. I’m so glad I found your blog.

  31. Congrats, Matt! 🙂

  32. Susan P says:

  33. It’s always a good thing to stay humble, but I must disagree–you are a profound writer–much better than most of what I have seen out there! The world needs to hear your voice!

  34. Rusty Page says:

I am a Christian father of 12 with one more on the way. The kids range from 29 years to 12 months, along with 3 grandbabies. I like what you write about: your values, parenting, and satirically poking at some of the worst practices in politics. I admire your well thought out and researched points and wish I had the skill in putting words together as you do. Please keep up the pointed commentary on what you see when it comes to ignorance, the lack of common sense, parenting and the USA.

  35. zeudytigre says:

Congratulations 🙂 I read your blog, not because I always agree with you (sometimes I really, really don’t!) but because you say what you think in such an well argued, articulate way. I wish more people were as honest. A good, open debate is so refreshing after the typical obfuscation of those who try to raise issues but then back down before truly making a point for fear of the backlash. You make me think about other points of view, and I appreciate that. Thank you.

  36. Julie says:

Congratulations, Matt!! I love reading your blog and am so glad I found it! I enjoy your thoroughly logical and perfectly sarcastic skills, which are substantial! 🙂 But the reason I read every single post is because you speak the unvarnished truth! Yours is the first post I look for every day.

  37. Jodi Price says:

Love what you do!!! And I disagree with this “There are so many smarter, wittier, more insightful writers out there”!!! You are one of a kind!!! I feel you speak the thoughts from my head … just in a more intelligent, straight forward, and sarcastic way!! Keep up the WONDERFUL work! Your clarity makes you special!!

  38. Christina says:

Congratulations! I appreciate most of your views, because you are a fellow brother in Christ, and your a fundamentalist as I am, which is a littler harder to come by these days. I don’t agree on all your views, but I believe we agree on where it counts most. At least so far. Your one of the few people who can make me laugh out loud! I almost wish I could do something similar, but that would have to be a God thing for me cause I dislike very much being in the lime light. I’m happy and content being a blessing behind the scenes where possible. May Christ continually bless you and yours for your service to Him.

  39. Lauren says:

I’m sure you terrify many people. Those who rely on darkness are always frightened by the light. And those who rely on ignorance are frightened by the articulate argument for the other side.

    You deserve it.

  40. Rick67 says:

What impresses me about your blog/website/writing is (1) how utterly forthright you are, you say what you think, and why, and don’t allow yourself to be silenced or intimidated by the usual shaming/silencing/bullying tactics employed by the social-cultural left (and I say that as someone who bites his tongue a *lot* around other faculty, church members, family) and (2) how ruthlessly logical you usually are (that’s a compliment), you deal with facts (and some convictions/opinions – with which I don’t always agree but so what?), and follow things where they lead (whether people like it or not). A refreshing and powerful combination of honesty, humility, and logic. And you wonder why your blog is so ridiculously popular in such a relatively short period of time?

  41. Lisa Reynoso says:

I just found your site recently, and I must say, I’m enjoying myself immensely. I don’t agree with everything, but who would? Oh, and what Rick67 said, Amen!

  42. Jane Staples says:

    Go for it!

  43. Ana Beatriz says:

Congrats! I´m from Brazil and I love your blog!

  44. monica says:

Congratulations….So happy for you. Love your thoughts, keep them going. We need more common sense, that’s why you are so well loved.

  45. Eggs Nihilo says:

I think one of your best and brightest was “Jesus Christ is not Mr. Rogers,” and although it was written on September 4, it summarized for me the depths of truth you’re willing to plumb. As I continued reading, I came across your May 24 article, “A familiar premise.” It struck home. As an older man who was never blessed to have sons of my own, I’ve been given the blessing from on High to lead “many sons to glory” by introducing them to the Lord Jesus Christ. I’ll happily settle for that. Nice job on your blog, Matt. Continued success.

  46. Wow, those numbers are amazing. I wrote a post that I think you would appreciate.
Have you heard about the school that got rid of the honor roll because they are worried about the pride of the other kids. Ridiculous.
    Check this out:

  47. Linda says:

The only person who deserves the kudos is you, Matt. You don’t pull any punches, and reading your blog never fails to soothe this extremely disillusioned, cynical soul. Thank you for the dose of common sense and logic you provide your readers. You are truly the best thing to come along in a looooong time. Don’t stop!!

  48. I too am applauding your success. I do have to say that I can’t read all of the stuff your write about. Not that I want you to kill yourself….but I get so worried and scared that I want to kill myself! Not literally of course. Above all, I respect that you can articulate with such precision that which endangers us all. Kudos, Matt! Keep on keeping on!

  49. rrp4075 says:

Congratulations on your success! I truly enjoy your blog. It’s amazing to me how everyone talks about tolerance. But it seems tolerance only refers to conservatives or Christians being tolerant of liberals or non-Christians. Very few liberals seem to have any tolerance for conservative values. 🙂 Usually people only get mad when you hit a nerve…So, you must be doing that!

Fresh, insightful, honest and funny You have a gift of expressing yourself so well, plus your a Christian I love your blog Congratulations Matt
