An open letter to President Obama

Dear President Obama,

You strike me as the sort of man who spends a lot of time staring at his own reflection. I wonder, what do you see when you gaze so admiringly at yourself? What image do you find in that mirror of yours? Let me guess: a graceful Greek god with a golden crown, draped in luxurious robes, perched on a giant, magnificent throne atop a mountain in the sky? You see a throng of angels singing your praises and masses of subservient peasants prostrated before you, trembling with fear and awe? You see a man who is more than a man, and a president who transcends the presidency; you see a historic figure of immortal importance?

Yeah, that’s what I thought, and I can’t blame you, Mr. President. By all accounts, you’ve always been an arrogant, haughty narcissist — and that was before you became president. Your supporters and your enemies may argue over whether you descended from heaven on the back of a Pegasus, or were birthed from the bowels of Hell to bring about a Biblical apocalypse, but they both agree on one thing: you are a figure of great significance and immense power. You are either the anti-Christ or the Second Coming, with no room for anything in-between. Surely, this talk might cause even a humble man to slip into a state of vanity and pride, so I can only imagine what it must do to a man such as yourself, already so aloof and so conceited.

That’s why I’m writing this letter. My impression of you is quite different, and it has only been solidified by your performance during this shutdown/Obamacare debate. I find you to be a very small man, Mr. President. Far from larger than life, you are petty, frivolous, pathetic; sneering and pompous but also trifling and narrow. I don’t mean to dismiss or underestimate the damage you have done to this nation — it has certainly been profound and lasting — but I want you to know that your legacy will not be one of grandeur and brilliance; it will be the legacy of a shameless, desperate bully. Both your opponents and your proponents hoist you up as a world leader with a grand vision, whether benevolent or malevolent. I, on the other hand, believe you have the vision of a temperamental two year old. You simply want to feel like you’re in control; you want to “win,” you want everybody in the room to pay attention to you, and you’ll stomp your feet and whine until you get your way. You govern like a coddled toddler; it’s inappropriate to pejoratively refer to you as a “dictator,” but only because it lends you a certain unwarranted credibility. I think you wish to be a dictator, but instead you’re just a bumbling bureaucrat; easily replaced and even more easily forgotten. You have the ethics of Genghis Khan, but the leadership skills of Michael Scott. This is why we are forced to witness the spectacle of, for instance, our president brazenly threatening to invade another nation for no reason, only to clumsily abandon the idea after being publicly spanked by Putin.

Your legacy, Mr. President, will be defined by small, shameful things, as your presidency has been primarily a succession of small, shameful things. The platitudes you spouted during your campaign — the theatrics, the pomp, the hype — have all faded. Replaced by the scheming partisan machinations that have come to define your tenure.

Every president has a moment that encapsulates their time in office; your moment, Mr. President, happened this week. Sure, future generations will look at you with mockery and scorn because of bigger scandals — Benghazi, the IRS targeting conservatives, Obamacare, the birth control mandate and your attacks on religious liberty, spying on journalists, arming terrorists overseas, Fast and Furious, the green energy scams, the bailouts, your support for infanticide, the billions you’ve given to the abortion industry, your cowardice in refusing to address the Gosnell murders, your reckless exploitation of the Zimmerman trial, the out of control deficit spending, your refusal to enforce immigration laws, the massive expansion of the Welfare State, the lies, the broken promises, etc — but I think, in an understated way, what you’ve done this week is a better microcosm of your entire reign.

I’m not just referring to the fact that you are peddling the lie that “Republicans” have “shutdown the government,” when, in fact, they have attempted to pass several bills that would fund the government. Mr. President, you tell these fables to the trained seals in the media and your voting base, but you know damn well that any American with a capacity for critical thought will roundly reject this absurd narrative. YOU have chosen to “shut down” the government because you have made Obamacare the ultimate priority. You have said, “Obamacare or nothing,” and then accused Republicans of being the “hostage takers.” They are holding the government hostage by trying to fund it? What a silly idea. But then, you are a silly, ridiculous president. Speaking of which, this takes us right to your defining moment: barricading memorials and monuments in a ploy to win an argument.

Comparatively insignificant when stacked up against your war crimes and constitutional infringements, but it is nonetheless an apt illustration. The Lincoln Memorial is just a giant statue. There isn’t any reason why people shouldn’t be able to look at a statue during a government shutdown. In past shutdowns, the memorials were open, with only the information centers closing down. The Lincoln Memorial has never been completely closed off from the public until now. You have decided to spend money to block and guard open-air monuments, when it would be cheaper, require less staff, and be less onerous to simply leave them be. Is this some sort of bizarre punitive measure against the American taxpayer?

Infamously, you even attempted to stop WW2 veterans from visiting the WW2 memorial. That memorial is mostly privately funded, and is open 24 hours a day. You SPENT MONEY to physically guard the monument from a group of elderly war veterans. This is truly unprecedented. We have had horrible presidents in the past, but none quite so shallow, cheap and contemptible. You tried to close down Mt. Vernon, which is privately funded, but had to settle for closing its parking lot — even though the parking lot requires no immediate on-going maintenance or surveillance from any federal workers. Did you have to shut down the Normandy cemetery and memorial? Are we saving money that way? I doubt it.

It’s the same game you played during the sequester, and it comes as no surprise to those of us who pay attention (which means it came as a surprise to a large number of people). Rather than leading like a statesman, you hide in the shadows; scheming, conniving, exploiting. You emerge only to make hyper-partisan speeches, with rhetoric best left to Democratic talking heads on afternoon cable news shows. Far from being a “new kind of politician” (as you were advertised), you are the most political politician this country has ever seen. You are political to your core, in your essence, at an atomic level, and so you are unable to offer any direction or clarity when the nation needs it most. Sometimes, Mr. President, the affairs of this nation require a man, not a politician, and it is during those times that you are especially useless. You don’t have any interest in fixing our present crisis because you’re too busy finding ways to keep a busload of 90 year old war veterans from looking at a memorial.

Closing down parks, monuments and memorials just to score political points is hardly your most insidious deed, but it’s certainly one of your pettiest. That’s why it stands, ironically, as a monument of its own. If we ever build a statue of you, Mr. President, you won’t be triumphantly holding a flaming torch like Lady Liberty, or standing authoritatively with a look of determination, like the MLK memorial. No, it will be a statue of you pulling the wings off of a fly, or spitting in someone’s orange juice. It will show you in your essence, as monuments are meant to do. It will show you as a petulant, skulking, juvenile bully. It will show you as you are.

And we’ll make sure it’s always open, especially during a government shut down.

Matt you are right on, and I’m sure there is not a Politically correct bone in your body, but why don’t you or any other main street media, journalist or bloggers call this what it really is. A Coup, short and simple, Socialism! Socialists’ have been trying to get a major foothold in this Beloved Nation of ours for years, and with some success. I hear all of the catch phrases, redistribution of wealth and social engineering. Plain and simple Socialism, a nice way of saying Communism!
Senator McCarthy must be doing backflips in his grave. Its a pity there is not a Joe McCarthy to be found in DC or anywhere in this Great Nation of ours to muster the real Troops spoken of in the Second Amendment, us the Citizen Solider.
For my 15 minutes of fame I want 5 mins with “bama” 5mins with nobainer in Congress and 5 mins with reid and pelosi in the Senate. Not sure I would be able to express my feelings in that time, but I’d sure like to try!

  2. Terry says:

    Outstanding letter to the POS.
With gratitude and admiration for a job well done (and a bit of envy), I reprinted it on our own small (but growing) blog site.
Stop by and say “Howdy” some time.

This is one of the most concise open letters to the president I have read to date. You are spot on in identifying that one basic and blatantly obvious character flaw of Mr. Obama’s. I too have reprinted it for my readers on my political blog with a link to your’s.

    Thank you for your insight.

Everything in there is true, but I do wish you hadn’t insulted trained seals. . . Wonder how big your FBI file is now? Love reading what you write.

  7. Luxury robes says:

Hi, you make mind blowing ideas and a spectacular article here.

  8. Jan Imhoff says:

You tell a lot about yourself in that hateful letter. People can only see in others what they have in
themselves. When you see good in people it’s because you are good – natured. When you see arrogance and selfishness, likewise, these are also present in you.
When you point a finger at another, you point 3 at yourself.
The one thing that stands out to me is that you are a “shameless, desperate bully” !

    • Karel says:

      Oh dear, Jan…
While I agree with you, you’re in for a ride now. Buckle up and hang on to your seat, because you’re going to get some very “well-meant” replies 😉

      • Dale Hogue says:

Who are you. I mean besides being a liberal, what do you do for a living and stuff like that.

      • Nicoleta says:

When I finally realized how trusting I am of absolutely everyone, I understood the need for discernment. Far from being perfect, particularly not being the brightest crayon in the box, I regret my own stupid assumptions. One of them of course turned out to be that no one has an ulterior motive. The one we all share wasn’t even clear to me back then : we want well being for ourselves. Moral bankruptcy is screaming all around us by people who feel entitled to receive free toilet paper, and dollars in form of taxes earned by hours of hard manual work, etc. I am NOT a racist. I love cultures, and am interested in religions. God is the greatest living presence in all of our lives, but the flip side is darkness does exist and trips the best in us. We have to will to be right with God first in all we do and SAY. That’s why lies, secrets, and manipulation of those too trusting equals moral corruption. NO BIG GOVERNMENT has ever provided citizens with peace and well being. The very proponents benefit in ways we the people who do not “earn” from those who actually labor. Does this make selfish? I work from sun up to sun down…in my garden, in my home, helping everywhere I go, and I can hardly believe my ears and eyes by the never-do-wells. Am I being self righteous? I disagree with everything this president has done and said in most of his public life, and his private life does not mirror my own, though I am married and have four sons. At the moment the guy in chief is prancing gathering funds from the west coast and the plane ride alone busts my pocket book. Our business was shut down because small business irks the county government’s existence. They have meetings. They have paper work to file. Thank God we keep our own because theirs gets lost. How can we trust the government to decide our medical care while the IRS is to be involved, the very ones that have given BILLIONS to the same address in Hungary !!… To recognize this is fraudulent does not in any way define me as a capitalist, racist, or anti union American. It’s time we just face the truth, and Matt Walsh said it best, with salt and pepper 🙂

        • Guy says:

America is being dumbed down by Obummer and his clan of 45 million. Well – you lot never learn. Lets visit the Zoo to find some other Monkey for 2016. Another day passed and the ni66er remains in the Whitehouse. WTF is wrong with you. O’monkey and his administration should go down hard. No protests – nothing! Is this what America has become? O’monkey is destroying your great Country. That is his goal. What have you done America… What have you done!

        • Nicoleta says:

Well Guy, I hear your frustration, anger even, and I hope you can hold with us who do see the harm in motion. I have a couple of friends who can’t believe themselves for voting for this president the first time. They want to take the votes back. I think the number of people like that may be growing. America has been misled, literally, much like a couple of my own sons did for a time…America is young. Its people’s mentality is so self centered to some degree that the obvious corruption can flourish with little resistance. I couldn’t talk sense to my kids anymore than conservatives can explain their distrust of big government. There are people who still believe the Tea Party is violent. They have screwy concepts planted by screwy thinking, and only when their snake bites them in their own back yard will they ask, what happened? That’s when we’ll pick up the pieces, but it is going to take some time. Too many young people are busy trying to get and keep their jobs. They are confused by the obligation to the new health care and the fear of losing their identity to a corrupt world. How can we feel secure? Should we take to the streets and revolt, the president will make it look like he was the victim forced to retaliate with force ( and that he would like very much). This is an uneducated, opportunist who dreams of being the One World Leader. He is delusional and I imagine he serves the purpose of a larger correction to all who like him expect to be carried by others who actually produce usable goods and wholesome services. We are in the middle of a difficult lesson.

      • Jan Imhoff says:

I’ve had many rough rides, Karel. You would never believe what I’ve experienced if I told you. . Thanks for your words. It makes me so sad to read a letter like Matt’s, so full of hate, anger and judging. What does this kind of letter do but create more hate anger and judging. These people will never see the light no matter what. It hurts..
None is so blind as he who WILL not see !

        • Mike says:

“When you see arrogance and selfishness, likewise, these are also present in you.
When you point a finger at another, you point 3 at yourself.”

“None is so blind as he who WILL not see !”

Apparently Jan you are so blinded by political rhetoric of Mr. Obama and the progressive left that you cannot see for yourself what damage the man has inflicted on our country and it’s economy.

    • Casey P. Mernok says:

You were likely overjoyed when BO and his jack-booted cohorts were using his bully pulpit to deamonize others during the shut down. However, when the tables turn and the shoe is on the other foot kicking you back in the A$$, you all start whining and crying foul.
Like all that follow “Rules for Radicals” you cannot stand it when truth, logic and honesty trumps your idealism.
      Suck it up.
BTW – How is that Affordable Care Act thing going for you?

      • Jan Imhoff says:

Fortunately, Casey. Thank God I don’t need the Affordable Care Act thing. But there are people far less fortunate than myself who do and I am happy to see them get the help they need. I am far from idealistic and KNOW truth and honesty when I see it. It is obvious to me that you don’t. Sorry about that….

      • Jan Imhoff says:

By the way, Casey, did you know that John Boehner signed up for OBAMACARE ? Isn’t he the one who tried to destroy it ? What would you call a person who does this 2-way deal ?

        • Terry says:

Jan…Boehner signed up for obamanocare because, as Comrade Reid stated “It’s the law of the land” and so as not to place himself above his constituents who are forced to sign up.
On the other hand, Barry Soetero will not sign up for his own health care plan. Nor will any of his regime.
What would YOU call THESE kind of people ?

    • Terry says:

Jan…clicked on your FB page and what a surprise (not)…your favorite news sources are MSNBC, CNN, HLN,…etc.
What really WAS a surprise is that you LOOK like an intelligent, elderly white woman, at least old enough to know better than the stupidity you spewed to Matt.
I suggest seeing your M.D. for tests on dementia.

At the very least, change the channel.

      • Karel says:

Terry, I bet your favorite news source is Fox? *chuckles*

      • Jan Imhoff says:

Well, now I don’t need to see an M.D. since you have already given your expert diagnosis, even without my presence. Extraordinary talent. Are you always so forward and mouthy with your comments….trying to act superior ? You know, that’s a sign of a person with an inferiority complex. Maybe a therapist will be able to help you while you are helping me.

        • Terry says:

Jan…one doesn’t need to be a therapist to see you are totally delusional when it comes to your understanding of politics and Obama.
It has already been scientifically proven that liberalism is a mental disorder. Don’t believe me ? Google it.
I’m still waiting for you to tell me something you think Obama and his regime has done that is positive for this country.
          Need more time ?

      • Jan Imhoff says:

Well, now Terry….. I don’t need to see an M.D. since you have already given your expert diagnosis, even without my presence. Extraordinary talent. Are you always so forward and mouthy with your comments….trying to act superior ? You know, that’s a sign of a person with an inferiority complex. Maybe a therapist will be able to help you while you are helping me.

    • Dale Hogue says:

Jan, do you remember these words from your childhood, “Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me.”? You were right when you wrote, “people can see in others what they have themselves.” However, in my opinion, the rest of what you wrote is gibberish and should not have been written in the same letter.

    • etya says:

I wish there was the unlike button, Jan, because Nat is telling it like it is! I lived on the other side if the fence and believe me life ain’t pretty under socialism or any tyrannical government .

    • That makes perfect sense. So I’m a homosexual who says that Hitler was a flagitious man for murdering homosexuals, I’m really seeing those traits in myself, right?

Please, don’t come to this page. There’s a little too much logic for you to handle, apparently.

    • jasondrexler says:

This is nonsense. Literally. You’re saying that the only way I can tell if someone is a bad person is if I, too, am a bad person. This is silly.

And by your own logic, the fact that you see Mr. Walsh as a “shameless, desperate bully” means that you, too, are a “shameless, desperate bully.” And because I recognize that fact, I guess I’m a “shameless, desperate bully” myself?

    • Jan I see you drank the KOOL_AID. Sorry you and all your cohorts still continue to believe in this So-Called Dictator and His Cohorts. pt

      • Jan Imhoff says:

What a grand ego you have dear KD….Your head must be enormous. Everyone who posts on this page is talking directly to you….and needs your immediate intelligent answer. You are a person who is madly in love with yourself …..loves to be praised, looked up to and admired. And you think you are God’s gift to all. What you really are is an ignorant bully.

        • KD Walker says:

          I beg your pardon??
You are so busy “projecting” that you don’t even realize who’s post you are responding to any longer.
Could you possibly be perceived as more of a dolt than you already are?

        • Jan Imhoff says:

Sorry to disappoint you Oh thou perfect and mighty KD……BUT THE MISTAKE ON THE POST WAS NOT MINE….. I kept deleting and reentering my post, even closing the site and reopening it and every time I tried to post to you it came under a REPLY TO Patricia Travitz
. That’s why I put your name in my post.

      • Jan Imhoff says:

OH no! You never want to drink that stuff. Use it to douche. It prevents the transmission of Socialism…

      • Jan Imhoff says:

OH no ! You never want to drink that stuff. Use it to douche. It prevents the transmission of Socialism !!!!!

        • KD Walker says:

          Classy, Jan.
          Anyone surprised?

        • Jan Imhoff says:

Not a surprise that you are right there with a smart-ass comment. You must know everybody’s business. This is a CLASSY site. Haven’t you noticed ? Not much help in offering any solutions to problems but full of people brainswashed by Fox news and the real D. Lama of the western world, Rush Limbaugh…..The only thing missing now is having Ted Cruz for your president….

        • KD Walker says:

Label much while you’re drinking? 🙂

        • Jan Imhoff says:

Sorry to disappoint you I never drink. How do you get your kicks besides blowing your horn ?

        • KD Walker says:

Occasionally, I read the vapid musings of narcissistic, emotionally impaired people such as yourself. LOL
You really should reread some of the things you post as they definitely give you away.
          Get well soon.

        • Jan Imhoff says:

OH Come on. You can get nastier than that. You’ve got the make-up for it. Happy New Year KD. May be things will improve for ya !!

  9. JesusIsLovebutMyShotgunIsJustice says:

yea this nigger can go to hell. anti-racist is code for anti-white!

    • Nicoleta says:

Tsk, Tsk on name calling…He is not a good man, and I agree the racism argument leans on anti white ( though even ignorant whites buy into the language accusation), but most importantly, it is a shield to protect a socialist agenda at this point and time, much like the ignoramuses who believed arians were superior. Hitler convinced Persians to change their country’s name to Iran…a word that was more similar to uphold an ideology. History shows us how stupid the masses can be when they applaud nonsense. So, I say, let’s not degrade a great race by calling a bad man a name devaluing other great men of that link. I hope you get what I’m saying. Happy Thanksgiving !!

  10. Terry says:

Karel…while I do watch Fox News, I also TRY to watch MSNBC & the other lib news shows, so as to be able to make a comparison. DO YOU pay attention to any right-leaning sources, or do you just moooove along with the herd ? ? I can tell you, learning from both sides assures me that you people are insane, self-centered, and anti-American.

Try reading from different news sources. Educate yourself before it’s too late.

    • Karel says:

You don’t know me, you have no idea who or what I am, so stop judging me, like you do everyone else who doesn’t follow your opinions.

      • Terry says:

Karel…and YOU don’t know ME, but you assume “my favorite news show is FOX News (chuckle)”.
All I know about you is that you still trust in the wannabe messiah. That’s ALL I need to know.

        • Karel says:

Well, Terry, the fact that you draw your conclusions and react so sarcastically about Jan’s choice of channels doesn’t leave much room for any other conclusion than that you don’t favor these channels. Thus there’s only one channel left for you watch.

The fact that you so blindly conclude that “I still trust in the wannabe messiah” based on that said to you that your favorite channel is probably Fox is so far off the mark that I can’t do anything but laugh in your face.

You pretend to “try” to be an educated American, but you just swing and miss.

I’m not even an American, and I’m not choosing sides.
I just laugh over this whole fiery debate and how you Americans just make fools out of yourself by continuously entering into these kind of useless debates.
Your country, that country that was once the pillar in modern society, has become a big fat joke to the rest of the world. Not because all of your last 5 presidents fucked up (the presidents in my country also fuck up continuously, that’s synonymous with politics), but because the people of your country are divided.
Of course there are two sides in your country. But the people are making it worse instead of using their influence and make it better. You are supposed to be one, and YOU are supposed to make your voice heard to the people that matter, not to each other.

        • Terry says:

Karel…YOU are the one who butted into a conversation stream with YOUR sarcastic remark.
Yeah, I DO watch Fox, but as I stated, I watch left-leaning shows, and I actually read and do research from MANY sources, so I can compare facts & fictions.

Yes, our country has become a laughing stock to the world…in the past 5 years…because we have an idiotic, egotistical, socialist, muslim in office, who would sell his children for votes. THAT is why I am angered at these sheep who do not research and expand their thinking and knowledge, but only take every word as gospel from ANYONE who spews progressive ideals.
And YES our country is deeply divided to a point right now that has not been seen since the civil war, in politics and racism. Those 2 things I blame squarely on Barry Soetero and his minions..i.e. Eric Holder….they have set us back 50 years in the racism healing.

And gee, please do share with us what utopian country you are from.
I may want to move there if HildaBeast gets the next 4 years.
          Otherwise, MYOB.

        • Guy says:

Matt – Don’t argue with fools. I am racist for a reason. If others cannot see what is going down then they must mix. I will never give up my white skin to mix with monkeys that science has proven are not the same as any other race. ni66ers are opposites to the human race. They are poison to society!

        • Terry says:

Guy…this is not NOW nor EVER been about race. I’m sure you are aware that Barry is 1/2 white.
Rather, it is, and ALWAYS HAS BEEN, about politics. It has been the left that has been making this a racial issue, because that is the only thing left in their arsenal.
Your racial slurs only add to their ammo. You are hurting our cause with your trash talk.
In fact, I’m thinking you are a leftie-plant, looking to hurt our argument.
If I am wrong, please stop with the n@$%er bile.

        • KD Walker says:

          I would have said:
          ” mind your own F**king business! ”
But then, that is just me.
          Humor aside, EXCELLENT response.

        • Terry says:

KD..LOL…just trying to be civil, but ‘taint easy !

        • Karel says:

Never mind, Terry. You won’t like it in my country either. We pay a lot of taxes, AND we have free education and free health care. Oh, AND the rich pay MORE taxes than the poor (this damn government is SO unfair!!).
(I even suspect that Obamacare may have been based on the system that’s already running successfully for over 40 years in this country).

        • Terry says:

Oh. But I see you are afraid to name this ‘wonderful country’ you live in.
PLEASE…DO SHARE with us poor Americans ! Maybe we can invade your country and suck up all your free resources.

        • Karel says:

If you were only half as educated as you say you are, you would know already from what I told you where I’m from. My country is KNOWN for the things I just told you.
A few more hints, you gotta do some work for it, common Terry!

My country was on #1 on the 2012 UN list of most technologically advanced countries, and has been in the top five for about 10 consecutive years. And it’s got the most women in high ranking positions in the world.

Oh, and don’t worry. You’d only get in as a tourist, or if you manage to get a job before you get here. Otherwise we’ll kick you out again right when your visa expires 😉

      • Karel says:

Oh, Terry, one more hint for you:
Conan O’Brien did a whole show on our country, and even met with our President, because he supposedly looked so much like her *LOL*

By the way… You very (in)discretely veered my “5 presidents” into “5 years”.
Are you saying that all the presidents before Obama did a great job?
Are you even remotely implying that George Bush wasn’t as big -if not a bigger- a fuckup as Barack Obama?
If that is the case, then boy, you really have ONLY been watching Fox News, and you’re not half as educated as you say you are 😉

  11. Jan Imhoff says:

Two years ago, the Republicans promised that if you vote them in they will jump-start the economy and create jobs. Really ????? Go vote for them again……Fool me once, shame on you….fool me twice, shame on me.
What have the Republicans ever given you…..what are their plans for the problems of our country?
    Can you name them ?
The only thing you do well is tear people down, call people names and disagree with anything constructive. If Jesus came down and ran as a Democrat you would crucify him again….
Vote them in in 14 and 16 and you will get what you are asking for…..They will finish the job where Bush left off when he just about destroyed this country.

    • Nicoleta says:

Jan? How can I help you ? Please tell us what the Democrats HAVE GIVEN you that the Republicans did not earn. Politics harm us common folks, particularly if we look to leaders who promise to give what they ultimately take from the working people. I hope you take the time to read the history books you missed in High School and then measure the contributions made by both parties. The division is often clear on ideology but in fact both parties are led by people, imperfect ones, who mess up. Big government is big trouble. I hope you take the time to be better informed because what you said proves to many what is feared most in the decline of our nation. Misinformed individuals are used as pawns because they simply just accept a leader they like, and turn off any wrongdoings as if the person is worthy of adulation, period. No offense, but the country has done a nose dive, and we need to shake off the fairy dust and not accept the free stuff ’cause, honey, after the government squanders all our taxes, unless you are employed at the upper end of the pyramid, the weighty reality will be that you won’t matter anymore. When they run out of the people’s money, the people will have to make do with “nada”. The best thing we can all do is remember what President kennedy said, “Ask not what the country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” That peace begins wit each one of us being self reliant. The over taxation is fraudulent. Don’t believe for a moment there is a free ride. If you hitch your hopes on getting something for nothing, you will miss out on integrity. Without that, you have a world of lies. With that, you create deception. Your mind is your tool for survival, and if you don’t get the right information, you will be used to abuse, and that’s a terrible legacy.

      • Jan Imhoff says:

Help me with what Nicoleta ?
I have never asked nor wanted something for nothing in my life. I am a giver not a taker. Neither am I a selfish human being without compassion or care for the hungry, sick, poor and hurting fellow beings of this world.

I used to be registered as a Republican until I realized I did not fit into their “stuck in time”
concept of life…..People need to progress …Change is the means of our preservation..Life is not the same now as it was 250 years ago.

I am liberal on some issues and conservative on others as I am sure most people are.
You hard righters seem so paranoid about big government that you don’t see the danger right before your eyes.
I’ve lived long enough to know that the present day Repulican party is no where near the party it once was. It’s almost as if a mafia-type gang has taken over.

You talk about Democrat bullies ?
There is a group of parasites that have hooked on to the back of the Republican party because they know they couldn’t make it on their own. Even the long time Republicans
don’t know what to do with them.

These people are dangerous to the greatest degree. They have been planted there by the super rich…like the Koch brothers who have said they want to buy up all of the newspapers in the country. That doesn’t scare you ? It scares the hell out of me..

These parasites, during Obama’s inauguration, met secretly in a back room and vowed to
do everything they could to destroy Obama and this administration. No matter that it
would hurt all of the people of this country…..main concern…shoot down the Democrats and
make them look so bad that we will be voted in…and WE THE SUPER RICH will have full control of this country. We will own the newspapers, the banks, give the government programs to our rich friends…They can run the post office and charge $4.00 to mail a letter.
Give all of our tax money, entitlement money to Wall Street and the rich. Trickle down-
economy…….right into their pockets. OOPS sorry, we don’t know what happened.

They don’t care about what happens to our country, our economy, our educational system , out senior citizens, the poor, our environment.
When they take over it will no longer be Government of the people, by the people, for the people.
It will be Government of the RICH, by the RICH, for the RICH.
You can’t see this for yourself ????? WOE !!!

        • Nicoleta says:

Thank you for responding Jan, but I honestly do not know anything about parasites out to particularly destroy any one person or political party. I am looking at the trillions that have paralyzed us, and I don’t see the rich to be the enemy; the government is growing by huge leaps, and the post Office workers are pledged, but not to any private enterprise. I came to this country at 14, and know too well the reality of oppressive government, but it is not possible to convince those who were born and raised in this great nation. As a naturalized citizen, I do not understand the immigration mess. My parents and I had no special breaks. We applied to become citizens at exactly the five year mark. We learned to speak English, we found jobs, we furthered our education, and we loved that Americans went to church on Sundays, that I pledged allegiance to the flag all the way through High School, and we had a moment of silence because some lady was offended by the Lord’s Prayer. We were devastated when President Kennedy was shot, and no one could convince my parents it wasn’t the communists.
Whatever I say will only aggravate you and that is not what I aim to do. I’m sorry we disagree so deeply. There is no doubt that there were and are some Republicans who have left the cradle of their party, but I continue to be one just to balance the scale at this point. Have you ever taken the test that actually tells you the party most fitting to your beliefs? I came out a Libertarian. I guess we all do have wiggle room, but some of the things you mention contradict all I know, so we’ll part to remember one another years down the road…
I am concerned for our four sons who are so confused, so distracted by a corrupt culture that has brought enough shame, and I do pray and hope they will manage to keep a low profile while serving their best in life in the United States of America.
Like you, I am a giver.

        • Terry says:

Jan…Do you not realize that you have just described the current administration to a T ?
Ever hear of George Soros ?
          You are painfully confused.

        • KD Walker says:

          She is WAY beyond confused.

      • Jan Imhoff says:

I am not a pawn for anyone. Nor am I misinformed or adulate Obama. I don’t like or dislike most presidents. I thought Bush could not possibly be beat as the worst president this county ever had but I never hated him. That is just ridiculous. Pointless to spread hate .
The Kennedys were people of service to their country.
A country is “people”. Sometimes we forget this. In essence
Kennedy said….Ask not what people can do for you ask what you can do for people.

Ever donate money or time to a soup kitchen…. Give to a food bank . Donate to a city mission…..Slip some money in an envelope and send it anonymously to someone who is having some financial difficulties? Or maybe go to Wal-Mart or K-mart where people lay away gifts for their kids because they can’t pay for them immediately and pay off one or two of these lay-aways? That is doing for your country (people).
What a wonderful world this would be if we could just get outside ourselves…

    • Terry says:

Jan…do you have any idea how many jobs plans the House has created, only to have them quashed by the iron fisted commie Harry Reid in the senate. There were DOZENS!
Reid wouldn’t even let any of them be brought up for discussion, let alone a vote. The left is trying..and succeeding…in destroying the job market, in order to advance their communist agenda.
MILLIONS of workers have seen their work hours reduced to part-time because their employers couldn’t afford the outrageous costs of ACA for full-time employees. All part of the regime’s plan.

What have the R’s done for me you ask ?
They have allowed me to work as much as I want, earn as much as I want without taxing me to death.
They have allowed me to create a business if I want, without outrageous unneeded regulations to stymie me.
They have allowed me to choose my own health care plan, at an affordable cost, w/o paying for maternity care for men, birth control for Sandra Fluke, and stop-smoking programs for non-smokers.

They have allowed my military to protect my country, w/o homos flying gay pride flags over their barracks, fragile women on the front line, and taking their Christian rights to pray and worship as they please.

They have TRIED to close the borders to the resource sucking illegal trash and gangs flooding across our borders, along with the muslims taking over OUR COUNTRY,and destroying it from within. When you finally wake up to the fact that Barry O IS a muzzie, maybe you will understand.
I could go on and on, but you have probably stopped reading by now.

As far as me “tearing people down, calling them names….etc.”, that is what we who love our country have learned from you sheep. We have tried for 5 years to show you the facts about your beloved messiah, and talk civilly, but you just keep on sucking down the Kool-Aid . The gloves are off.
I guess “shame on you”, because you HAVE BEEN fooled twice.

I can only pray that in ’14 and ’16 we get what we are asking for, before this land is no longer our land.
And I pray you people turn off Chris ‘Tingle’ Matthews and start paying attention.

Jesus would NEVER run as a dem, so I won’t even address that.

      Have A Nice Day.

      • Ronkgman says:

Right on brother!! 2014 cannot get here soon enough for us who think before we strike!!

      • Jan Imhoff says:

The Republican house turned down the jobs act and many other attempts to create jobs all nixed by the Republicans. Remember? Their goal was to destroy the administration, not create jobs.
I also have worked as much as I want to, had a very successful business for may years .
I cannot see how this has anything to do with either Party. I was not taxed to death given unreasonable regulations, etc……I wonder why they picked on you ??

Employers have long hired employees on a part time basis to avoid paying benefits. This is nothing new and has nothing to do with ACA. These employees can get better coverage under ACA anyway so what’s the problem
I have my own health care Plan. Who is holding a gun to your head ? It is not mandatory to sign up for the ACA. Where did you get that idea ?

(As to the Democrats giving me and others help….When my dad died (I was 5 yrs. old) my mother was able to collect a small amt. of money as a widow with an underage child (a help provided by the Dem.). This really helped until my mother was able to get a job.
When my mother was older she received the Dem. provided Social Security and Medicare that helped her and many others her age.
My grandson who was born with Cerebral Palsy has some government provided help with his constant financially draining care. My friend’s son got financial help from the government or would not have been able to attend all 4 yrs. of college. He is extremely bright and I know he will give back more than he received after he graduates. All of these programs and more were provided for by the Dems. and fought against, all the way,. by the Republicans.
I had a teacher who told us, “If you never remember anything I have taught you remember this one thing. President Roosevelt was the worst president we ever had. He brought Socialism into this country and it will destroy us.” Well good old Miss Baird lived to be 93 yrs. old and I wonder if she refused her social security….
The Republicans fought against every one of these programs, tooth and nail, just as they are today against the ACA. And the real strange part of it all is that they were the ones who created it and the Republican Supreme Court passed it.
        I”M CONFUSED ?????

Well, all I have to say is all of you better start saving up for your old age, make sure you don’t get sick or have any problems for which you need help because when your Messiahs
get in they will eventually destroy all of these programs…and if they get rid of the government you will have to fight your own wars, pave your own roads, finance your own education , fly your own planes, and do everything for yourself. And don’t wait for anyone to come to help you when your home and town are devastated by disaster. But hell, you won’t have to pay any taxes….
        GOOD LUCK .

I will be kind enough to take this up for you TERRY….but on another page……

Jesus would NEVER run as a dem, so I won’t even address that.

        • Terry says:

Jan…you are hopelessly lost, confused and misguided.
I will leave you at peace in your delusions.
Maybe I’ll run into you at a FEMA camp when the present regime takes full power, and you are kicked to the curb along with all the others who helped them achieve it.
          Until then…Happy Tales To You.

        • Jan Imhoff says:

And good luck to you Terry. Hope all your dreams and wishes come true. They all do in LaLa land….

        • Nicoleta says:

Jan…Who is in LaLa Land? I thought I read you do keep up with the news, are you kidding? Our dreams would come true in the America we knew…have you any idea how much debt has accumulated in the last 5 years and how that compares to ALL other spendings together? Have you checked our country’s rating? Are you not a tad concerned about the FEMA camps? Do you still support this president? I don’t know how you don’t get what Terry was trying to say. It is not a personal attack on you. The state of affairs in all that has unfolded in the last 5 years is terrifying. Have you at least listened to those who are desperately trying to turn things around so we don’t all end up losing our freedom. I wish you could take a trip to Europe and visit a country like Romania to see the broken spirits of people who could not stop the force, corruption, and oppression of communism. You cannot begin to fathom what it means to have the government control everything. You think you will benefit because you were sold the idea that redistribution of wealth is noble.

        • Jan Imhoff says:

Who are those who are trying to turn things around ? Am I missing something ? Are you talking about the Republicans who said they would never cooperate with the administration….whose priority from the very start was to bring down the administration….To kill every bill the Democrats presented ” The group of Parasites who latched themselves on to the backs of the Republicans because they wouldn’t have a breath of a chance if they tried to run as a third party. These were the people who made a pact to turn down every bill…remain totally uncooperative . run the president out of office and destroy this administration……They don’t care about jobs, about fixing the economy doing anthing positive that would praise this administration……It was the Republicans who created the ACA……and the dems who pushed it through and they don’t want the dems to get the credit.

What have these people offered that would turn things around? If they had cooperated with the administration from the beginning maybe something could have been achieved. The first week that
the president was in office he invited them to come to discuss issues and they refused and have refused to cooperate ever since. The only thing they care about is… don’t dare make the rich pay
more….take away from the poor guys first. I don’t like that kind of turning around. If I were a
multi-millionair I would be more than happy to give more to help.
And please don’t make it sound like this is a 5 yr. only problem because it all began when Bush started an unnecessary war that killed thousands and cost trillions of tax payers money and gave the super rich a big tax break. Now we are not supposed to ask the rich to chip in a little more but
make the poor give up what little they have. That’s fair ?

        • Nicoleta says:

Jan dear, can you check the amount of taxes paid by the rich and yes, working Americans? Again, I think you are misinformed about the Republicans not wanting to work with the president. Do you remember all the closed doors? The Republicans couldn’t get in, they were out. I don’t know. We must really be getting our news from two opposite planets. From my perspective the present president is not on my band stand. I am ashamed of him representing our country. I have always been proud to even have the chance to come to America, and I am honored to be a naturalized citizen. It was a thrill to go to a library and be allowed to read all I wanted, plus check out as many as i wanted to take home. The truth is, I want its kindness to keep me compassionate for those who simply cannot leave the patch of adulation. I would love to see Dr. Ben Carson as a President, or Allen West, and the likes of whom I can break bread with and be on the same page about things that really matter. Charles Krauthammer’s book is a must read. I hope you nourish yourself to make a little room for us conservatives. No, we care a lot. Good grief, we give and take to heart the folks who struggle to keep their families strong and trust God to see us through. However, I don’t believe in giving druggies food stamps. I don’t want people who have no photo ID voting, particularly for a person whose philosophy is completely opposed to my values. We have a problem here. Our education is different. Our lives’ paths did not follow the same route. I don’t believe for a minute all Republicans are good or Democrats for that matter. We are all human beings, flawed to the bone. But, I side on the conservative side, with ancient church, and cannot fathom Jesus purposely misguiding the flock to reach the euphoria that could not be achieved anywhere on the planet. I think we need to leave Jesus out of this conversation because he may tweak us for daring to misspeak. I’m not going there. He would oppose lies, secrets, and grandiosity. Rich people are some of the most generous people, but if they expose their contributions, they are criticized for being pompous, or having so much. I think many, many more than we know, do give to those in need, and quietly so that they may be overlooked. Being rich is a dirty, bad thing that somehow provides the most money to government’s machine. Those who advance by hook or by crook have given anyone who has more than the average a bad name. That is not the right incentive for teens. They are more interested in the weed than in who does what in government. Well, Jan, I also recommend you read Decision Point ( I think that’s the title) by one of your unfavorites. Why? Well, just so when you sit to dine with him and Laura, you can still disagree but having at least heard his position at the time the horrible bloodshed began. I too hate war. My parents were in the concentration camp for three years. God knows how and why they survived, but this I know. When we became citizens, one of rights is to declare a political party. I heard my Dad say, we are poor Republicans. When I asked later how we became that, he said we would strive to achieve the American dream of owning our own home, by the sweat of our brow, and place our efforts into having enough to help others. And even in the years that followed when we had very little, we helped. I worked two other jobs while teaching in Appalachia so i could buy a little house. Not to bore you, but this is my humble story, and I think most of my friends have had similar dreams and aspirations. The president’s agenda feels like sandpaper on my soul.

        • KD Walker says:

Your words, full of reason, logic, fact and sheer intelligence are lost on people like Jan.
He/She does not possess the intellectual ability to open the door even a crack to debate and discuss without venom.
This person cannot even spell, let alone be expected to have any real knowledge of world history.
This is the biggest problem with our country today. The majority of people flapping their gums these days are woefully ignorant of what has happened in the real world in the past 100 years, let alone since the Ottoman Empire or some such. They have no clue.
Yet they honestly believe, after watching puppets on the idiot box for a few hours, that they know better than any person next to them. Few people in our country today have lived the life you and your family have lived.
          They do not understand.
          They will not understand.
          Until it happens to THEM.
God help us all when that happens.

        • Nicoleta says:

Thank you for validating the effort I made to reach out and simply speak the truth from my heart.
          It’s good to know I’m making sense…

        • KD Walker says:

You are most definitely making sense.
Please, keep on as long as possible because you, unlike myself and others, seem to be able to keep your tone pleasant and without rancor.
This, in and of itself, is a beautiful thing.
Everyone of us can take a lesson from you on this fine attribute.
          Thank you!!

    • Karel says:

      On a sidenote, Jan…
Since when can you trust politicians?

They always and only say what you want to hear in order to be chosen, but they have their own agenda fore when they actually are chosen.
It’s always been like that, and it will always be like that.

Trust no one, as Deep Throat so catchingly put it in the X-files back in the day…

      • Jan Imhoff says:

I know you cannot trust politicians but obviously the Reps. don’t.
They voted the Reps. in 2 yrs. ago/ They must have believed the promises
to jump start economy and create jobs. All they are doing is making a laughing
joke out of our country. They don’t give a rat’s …… about we little people. Romney made that clear enough. Well maybe not clear enough for some people.

    • Ally Mcque says:

The R’s have passed a lot of bills and sent them to the senate. But Old Harry R doesn’t let them be discussed let alone brought up for a vote. So How is that the R’s fault, that’s Old Harry’s fault and he is a DEMOCRAT

      • Jan Imhoff says:

Maybe if you read the bills you might understand why they weren’t discussed. Anything the Republicans propose hurts the little guy. As I said…the Republicans have no intention of helping to create jobs or do anything that is good while this administration is in. They came to destroy not create.
O”Connell made that perfectly clear when he said, “Our main priority is to get Obama out of the White house….Not create jobs, not help the economy ….kill Obama. What a positive constructive agenda, huh ?

  12. Ever since Lyndon Johnson democrats have hankered for socialized medicine. When Obamacare comes to full fruition, if it ever does, that goal will have been accomplished. I am 86 and among those to have fought to stave it off; I may have lost that fight, but I hope not.

    • Jan Imhoff says:

It started even before Johnson. It was created by the Republicans, used successfully by the Republicans in Massachusetts and passed by the Republican Supreme Court. What’s the problem with it ????? The Republicans aren’t getting the credit for it. If they were they would be praising it to the moon.
Just about every country in the world has it I hope to GOD you lose the fight.
Do you S.S. and medicare ? If the Reps. had their way you wouldn’t have those.
I believe that people who think these programs are bad and Socialistic should refuse them.
It’s the honest thing to do.

  13. KD Walker says:

WooHoo! A tad harsh in places, but basically accurate. LOL

  14. KD Walker says:

    Budda boom, budda BING! LOL

  15. Nicoleta says:

Hi dear Terri…I feel for you because it is extremely frustrating to debate with extreme liberals. There is little room for them to understand that giving from our own earnings received from hours of disciplined service, reflects our values. When our taxes are wasted and swindled by way of unscrupulous opportunists, the sentiment is rightfully one of anger. Our country has been invaded from all walks of life and we are the testing ground of good and evil sparing to win an army. I am afraid we are confused by the bombardment of lies, and those who believe the liars are the very ones to object to the standards of building a better life for ourselves by providing real service, not working for the government in menial jobs designed to have pawns propagate the advancement of the country’s demise.
It is appalling to know how many Americans have fallen for the socialist agenda. Teachers and professors alike are to be ashamed of their ignorance. I have been poor, so I know to get by on soup and bread and honey. I fear the violence for entertainment, despise the commercialization of Christmas, reject the right for criminals to inject pornography, drugs, and force to kill our society, but it is too late. It is almost stupid to even hope for a turn around. The people have allowed wrongs to get worse, and we have not seen the worst. The fault lies in the choice to allow a minority to change the boundaries established to run a decent nation. The voters of the present administration have imposed the right of all minorities to take charge of our once God fearing nation. We were never perfect, as that is impossible, but we were led by men with a vision for liberty to enrich the lives of most. The truth is we navigate where we ultimately choose to go. We become who we are by those choices. People who studied marxism erroneously believe they can fix what could never be called broken. They did not actually live under communism. I wish Hillary would spend a year in one of those countries she chooses us to become…but leave the money she was so graciously endowed in public service in this country. The guy who is president is a delusional puppet and you are right, he has harmed us beyond belief. He has spoken to the hearts of the people who just don’t know any better other than to criticize capitalism, and why? Well, they bought into the communist degradation of religion and self reliance. Atheists have shaken hands with the muslims, and those who don’t see it have been playing video games, not realized the state of affairs in France, Greece, and the list goes on…People still want to leave their countries to come here, but now for all the wrong reasons, but wait, maybe not. Here they can be given our tax dollars…Wake up the liberals…but they are too tired of wallowing in the good life they will miss, and blame…you, me…maybe even still G. Bush.

    • Terry says:

Nicoleta…You are a wise and patient soul. I can learn much from your calm, expressive ways. I have completely run out of patience with these fools, and have taken on their deplorable habits. You can speak to them in a calm, learned, way.
Unfortunately, neither method gets through to them.
Our Country is blessed to have immigrants like your family, who came here to enrich, and be enrichened, by all America offers to those who came to EARN a better life, not steal one.
      God Bless You.

      • KD Walker says:

        Amen, Terry!!!
This person (Nicoleta) is the kind of immigrant that made this country great in the past and, God willing, will again.
Our own recent, home grown ilk certainly have no interest in making that happen.

        • Terry says:

KD…you are certainly correct about the recent ilk of immigrants. They have no desire to help enrich OUR COUNTRY, only to suck up our freebies.
A great move for the dems to enhance their voter base, and to further destroy our economy and country.

    • Jan Imhoff says:

You are a fox in sheep’s clothing, Nicoleta. My wonderful gift of discernment sees right through you.

I am wallowing in the good life? How dare you judge my way of life when you don’t know me. You know nothing of what I have been through .

How do you know what Hillary wants for this country ? I haven’t read any of her proposals.

Capitalism , the greedy persons life style… destroying our holidays, our morals, our jobs…you name it……Money that is all they care about … movies, outrageous killing games for kids destructive moral decay on all sides because they will sell anything to make money. The love of money is the root of all evil. That’s what the good book says.
And it is true. And people are stupid enough to buy these things.

Wal-Mart made billions in profits last year, yet they pay their employees peanuts and then hold raffles for their employees who don’t have enough money to live on.

Big shits send jobs oversees so that they don’t have to pay decent wages . They want a million dollars profit this month, 2 million next month and more and more and more. They find all kinds of ways to stick it to the consumer and worker.
Greed and Money …the definition of Capitalism. A good thing when 1% own 90% or more of our country’s wealth ??????? Socialism did this ??????

I cannot make any sense of your angry tirade because it is nothing more than nonsensical gibberish.

Jan…”Your wonderful gift of discernment..” ?
        Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha….blowing snot bubbles here !

      • Randy says:

It is somewhat amusing to watch you guys argue as if one of your sides is right and the other side is wrong. The fact is most of what both sides here are saying is true. Minus calling the president a Muslim type stuff. I said a lot of this in a post when the blog first came out, but I am sure it is way down the comments now. Unless you are very rich OR very poor BOTH parties are against you. Both use redistribution of wealth. The Democrats take money from the rich and upper middle for social programs, etc to help the poor. The republicans take money from the poor and middle class to send up to the rich in the lie of trickle down. I voted for Reagan twice and Bush 1 once, and voted for Clinton and Carter, so don’t think me a zealot for either side.

Truths: (1) yes the debt has gone up dramatically over the last 5 years. Yet the deficits have gone down dramatically over those same 5 years. Translation, the bleeding was already there before Obama, but some bandages have been applied. Not all Obama’s doing though as pressure from Republicans helped in this. Of course some other wounds have been inflicted by both sides as well. We have the stupidity of the tea party backed shut down costing a small fortune. We have expenditures by the Obama administration that weren’t needed costing small fortunes. We have the Republicans simply saying no to anything, and the Democrats refusing to even discuss the bad bills that the Republicans have tried to force through.

        (2) Generally more jobs are created under Democratic presidents than under Republican presidents. Of course Democrats spend too much and defeat any advantage that might be. This isn’t really surprising if you look at both parties policies. Republicans use trickle down. Easy to show why that doesn’t work. I am a business owner. I, like virtually every other business create jobs for one reason only. When it will make me more money. You can give me all the tax breaks you want. I will take them. I will put them in the bank. And on rare occasions I might even spend part of it. but what I will not do is create any jobs with it, unless, once again, it will make me more money. In fact, it might make me less likely to create jobs as I have more money from the tax break already and makes more sense to do stocks than people. Now if the tax breaks went to the people, then there might be more money spent on my products which would require me to create more jobs. So Democrats create more jobs, but they do it by spending tax money. So bottom line, they both fail at the general concept of job creation in combination of debt reduction.

I challenge you all to do what I do. Figure out what you believe, and then make a honest attempt to disprove it. If you can then you had the wrong belief. If you can’t then you can be mush more confident in your belief. Of course most of you will be too scared to do that, and the majority of the rest will be too lazy.

      • Randy says:

That last should have read, most of what both side say here are both true and false at the same time.

      • Jan Imhoff, you need to move to North Korea.
None of those mean old capitalists over there. Only far-wing lefties like you.
I’ll pay for your one-way ticket. I promise.
There is a wonderful YouTube video of Jan Imhoff’s goody-two-shoes blather and how it collapses.

Go to and search Dinesh D’Souza at the University of Oregon debate with atheist Michael Shermer. Shermer gets destroyed, as is entirely proper.

  16. Bruce says:

Great letter. I think it is time for our wealthy elite such as Bill Gates and Warren Buffett to fund a study on how the US can get out of this deficit spiral instead of contributing to the hysteria. I have not seen any positive movement to solving the total problem except blind hope that things will improve. Throwing tax money and regulations at the problems seem to be making each problem worse.

  17. Jan Imhoff says:

Terry says, “Jesus would NEVER run as a dem, so I won’t even address that.” I will.

That sure is not the Jesus I know. The Jesus of the bible is so far left he couldn’t see right.
The greatest Progressive who ever lived on the face of the earth.
He took 7 loaves and a few fishes from one person and fed 5,000.

He challenged the law at every turn and often the scribes and Pharisees (teachers and Priests of that day ) tried to trick him. One instance was when they brought a woman known to be a harlot to him and they said,” Moses’ law says we are to stone this woman because she is a harlot. What do you say?” He replied, “The one of you who has no sin cast the first stone.”

They pointed fingers at him and eventually crucified him because he associated with
know thieves and robbers , feasting with the unclean (unholy). Acting above the law and even declaring that he knew more than they did. He said, “It is the sick and troubled who need a friend not the well.”

Jesus said. “You are your brother’s keepers.” “treat others as you want others to treat you.”
    “feed my sheep.(people)”

He gave an example of judgment day …..
He gathered some to him and said, “I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, naked and you did not give me clothes, sick and you did not help me,” Therefore, I know you not, you don’t belong with me.” They said to him, “When did we see you hungry and did not feed you, or thirsty and didn’t give you anything to drink, or naked and clothed you not” ? Jesus said, “As long as you did not do this for one of these your brethren you did not do it for me.”

He said, “Don’t point to the mote (fault) that is in your brother’s eye when you have a beam (hugh fault) in your own eye. Get rid the beam in your own eye before you try to get rid of the mote that is in your brother’s eye.

He said, “Judge not so that you will not be judged. With whatever severity you judge others you will eventually be judged”.

He was so unselfish that he gave his own life to save ours…..
He said, “No greater love does a man have then to give up his life for another.”

So much love, so much compassion, so much understanding and caring. OH if we were all
like that what a wonderful world this would be.

    • Ally Mcque says:

Yes Jesus was very compassionate and good. But no matter how you cut it Jesus is not like the liberals today, You might want to believe he is like liberals but we all know that Jesus would never condone abortion or gay marriage. Jesus was all about compassion not forcing someone to do what someone else wants.

      • Jan Imhoff says:

Wonder who created the gays, the blacks, etc. Must not be the same God who created we superior whites HUH ?

      • Karel says:

        “all about compassion”
“not forcing someone to do what someone else wants”

Then the religious people haven’t really paid much attention, have they?
Forcing heterosexuality onto people. Forcing religion onto people. Loving thy neighbor as thyself.

And why do some people always… ALWAYS, without that friggin’ exception to that rule, bring religion into EVERY discussion?
My God/Allah/Jahweh/Buddah/Krishna/etc… Why can’t we just discuss things without always having to deal with people’s religious opinions?

    • David Law says:

I must have missed the part about him wanting the government to take things from people and do his good works for him…Must have been The Gospel According To Karl & Iosef…

  18. David Law says:

He reminds me of nobody other than the worst of both JFK and Nixon…all rolled into one.

  19. Jan Imhoff says:

KDWalker…..typical Rep. response. Of course you wouldn’t understand. Everything is gibberish to a Rep. when someone has an opinion that is not theres. You guys had your chance when Bush was in 8 years and blew it. Have a good life. I hope Cruz is your next president…..OH BOY !!!

    • KD Walker says:

As Vonnegut once wrote, you possess: ” all of the intellectual complexity of a rubber band”.
      I am NOT a republican.
But you ARE definitely an idiot.

  20. Jan Imhoff says:

Nicoleta….You think I am misinformed about the Republicans not wanting to work with the President ? Surely you jest…. They said that themselves. How long have you lived in this country ?
I have friends and family living in Canada and overseas and they see what’s going on. I guess it’s like the wife who is being cheated on being the last to know.

The Republicans have hissy fits evry time the Demo. get voted in and do everything they can to disrupt, find fault, cause to impeach and demonize the Dem. president. A dem. won the last 4 presidential contests. But the Rep. found ways to get in by hook or by crook…….a little sceme in Florida and a little help from a Republican Supreme Court.

When a Rep. president gets in office…no matter what he does it’s OK. He can start a war that kills 8,000 people and run up a 5 trillion dollar deficit but that’s ok because he’s a Rep.
Rep. worry about the deficit so much that they shut down the government and cost the tax payers billions of dollar..
The Democrats won the election. The majority of people voted Obama and the ACA law in.
    Suck it up Casey.
But that’s not good enough for the Reps. They have to have their own way. So they go into
a tantrum that is heard around the world. Well, I guess they don’t believe that the majority rules..
    There goes another freedom.
What is it that you people want ?
Is it to destroy the health bill, eventually do away with S.S. and Medicare. Stop giving food stamps.
    Close most government programs ????????

These arguments are no wins, Nicoleta. Your answers seem to be to things you think I think rather
what I intend to portray. So I guess I don’t make myself clear.
Anyway….as the song goes…..East is East and West is West and never the twain shall meet.
    Have a happy holiday.

    • Nicoleta says:

I have been in America for fifty years.
My friends and family overseas are also concerned as I am about our country’s socialist direction, and they know who has it good under a large government, few.
Your attack on Republicans is astounding, particularly because your facts are so misconstrued. Have you checked the national debt’s increase in the last five years ?
Personally, I am proud to say that even when we qualified for Food Stamps, we didn’t do it. So long as we can walk, talk, and use our hands, we can rise to the task of earning our food.
This country’s wealth spills to all in every corner though you are right that there will be people who sincerely cannot make it without assistance.
The only black and white reality about everything we all do is evident in choice. We have helped many even when sharing was tight.
Have you tried reading the Drudge Report? It’s rather straightforward, easy to comprehend, and a sensible way to catch up fast…A friend from Wyoming told me about it, and it’s presented in an interesting format. One of our sons really likes it too.
Merry Christmas to you as well. Thank you. I pray God continues to bless us all.

I could not agree with you more about each and every line you wrote. My true feelings about our President is that he’s a nice guy, who means well (AND MY GOODNESS HE WANTS HIS PLACE IN THE HISTORY BOOKS)…unfortunately, for him…his administration…and the American people…he is OUTRIGHT incompetent. I’m sure he wakes up everyday, saying to himself in silence…”why did I want this job?” The perfect “stew” for a bad Administration is a President who has no leadership skills surrounded by a bunch of “yes” men. Yep, I said “men”! If he were in Corporate America…he’d be fired.

    • Jan Imhoff says:

You believe each and every line ? Even when Matt blames the President for shutting down the government ? Even when the Republicans admit it was their members who did it ? I would like to know how any person can lead a group who from the start vowed to destroy the leader and who refuse to follow ? That takes at least some cooperation.

      • Nicoleta says:

I believe each and every line Matt wrote. I couldn’t agree more. And, if you believe the President was not responsible for the shut down, we are obviously looking at different facts. The truth is no one would have wanted to destroy him, and that is still a fact. However, the core of Americans could not have understood what he meant by saying he was about to fundamentally change this nation. Most Americans could not have imagined what is happening. Those of us who fled communism and shiver at its infiltration, locked our our hearts. The President appears to be a good family man, a young charismatic individual whose smile enchants, and obviously a student and follower of very liberal ideas. I oppose redistribution of wealth. I welcome those who can give to give generously, and they do. I am sorry so many young people have turned against those who achieve wealth. It is wrong to feel disdain for the people who pay the most taxes, but have figured ways to still retain their own money. Greed is a very real human element, and I have more respect for people who earned it by using their skills to produce than those who get by taking from others or even the masses like lifetime politicians. Big government is frightening. People who lie, or deceive, manipulate, and use their power to force their agendas are the typical characteristics of dictators. The combination of the two spells disaster. Ben Carson is my choice for a leader. There are others who also recognize the need for self reliance, who understand the importance of integrity, and who would not have taken the steps this President has to diminish our nation in the world as well as at home. I personally cannot trust him for much of anything he would have to say after Benghazi. That was the final straw. Ms. Clinton is off the charts for me as well. Well, that wraps my support for Matt Walsh. The government was shut down because the President engineered it. Google that and at least read the facts. i’m not talking about anything other than real facts. Harry Reed and Pelosi are in the same stew. These people are infamously crooked. The President has shown his values by all who surround him. Check it out. maybe you do agree with his policies, and find him to be refreshingly innovative. I urge you read some history books. JOURNEY TO FREEDOM by Dr. Nicholas Dima is a good start. It will be the best money spent and all because that is the reality I hope you and I or any of us ever have to experience. Our country does not need to be fundamentally changed. People who think that need to go, leave, and live heir socialistic dream where it’s already been established.

        • KD Walker says:

          Right ON, Nicoleta!!!!!!!

        • Jan Imhoff says:

So, Nicoleta.. Are you saying that John Boehner is lying when he admits that it was the Tea Party members who shut down the government ? To what purpose ?
And you don’t believe the Republicans wanted and still want to destroy Obama and his administration ? What news are you watching ?

please go here and read about it…

Even Mitch announced that the main purpose of the Republicans was to put down
          Obama and his administration.

You think the rich got their money by hard work and their skills ? All of them? Did you ever research how Romney and some of the other super rich made their money ? Dirty crooks!!!
Who do you think makes the rich richer? It sure isn’t the rich. Most of the money of the rich is made by manipulating the middle class and the poor
You have socialism seared into your brain and seem to see no other problem that is bringing destruction to this country. When you have to pay $5 for a loaf of bread and $5 for a gallon of milk at the grocery store… $22 for a 10 cent aspirin at the hospital and $1,700 to have 3 stiches in your sons head from a fall…that is not Socialism. That is the greed of Capitalism and it will get worse and worse until there is no middle class left. The greedy rich are going to swallow up the middle class and this country will be in the worse shape that it has ever been in. You have to have a healthy middle class to have a healthy society.

I could never lower myself by acknowledging the care of my elderly parents as an accomplishment. Disgusting.
    Get over yourself.

    • Jan Imhoff says:

Only an evil mind could twist facts around to create hate like this. Someone said I need a hobby. I simply stated that I had a hobby but was busy at the time taking care of someone. How is this flaunting an accomplishment ? And it is not an elderly parent I am caring for as you so brashly assume.
You are a mean-spirited , innately miserable human being who can’t mind your own business and YOU are the person who needs something constructive to do with your life instead of posting nasty comments to people who are not even addressing you..

  27. KD Walker says:

Comment to Jan Imhoff. Not to the Matt Walsh blog. Obviously.

  28. Bernie Zehr says:

    Bravo, bravo, bravo!

This President is so small he is a fly on the wall of his own office. He crawls from his environs to say nasty things about people or to screw things up even more for the American people.

Regarding the American people if they would vote for this travesty then the do not deserve the right to vote. This President was a train wreck from day one. He should still be voting “Present” in the Illinois House of Representatives.

Regarding John Boehner, the man is a pretty face in an empty shirt and a flaming pussy at best. He has not tried to protect the people of this country from the predations of Herr Obama adn his socialist government. That is his primary job not looking pretty for the camera.

The Democrats are now DemoNazis and as such are to be feared. Freedom of speech will be attacked constantly.
